Team members are encouraged to observe the highest standards of professionalism at all times.Gifts and Hospitality
Both the giving and receiving of gifts and hospitality have an important role in facilitating business practice. There is, sometimes, a fine line between kindness and attempting to influence favors. Liberty Power does not accept gifts or contributions from individuals or organizations whose core activities will in any way limit our ability to provide our services. Liberty Power doesn’t offer or accept gifts with the expectation that the business relationship will be altered, or influenced in some way.Truth in Marketing Practices
Liberty Power conforms to all truth-in-advertising rules as laid out by the Federal Trade Commission. We make every effort to make our advertising practices clear and easy to understand. Our sales channels undergo rigorous training so they understand our products and the availability to customer segments. They also must comply with all applicable federal state and local laws.We have written our contracts in easy to understand, consumer-friendly language.
Business Ethics: Liberty Power’s suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements and shall compete fairly in the market place.
Child Labor: Liberty Power’s suppliers are prohibited from using workers under the legal age of employment.
Forced Labor: Liberty Power’s suppliers are prohibited from using indentured, slave, bonded or other forced involuntary labor by its Suppliers.
Wages and Benefits: Liberty Power’s suppliers may not pay less than the minimum wage in accordance with the law.
Working Hours: Liberty Power’s suppliers must comply with all applicable laws governing the number of maximum work hours.
Health and Safety Guidelines: Suppliers must have a safe and healthy working environment in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Non-discrimination: Suppliers shall provide a workplace free of harassment and/or deliberate discrimination, particularly on the basis of race, national origin, skin color, language, religion, political convictions, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, pregnancy and related medical conditions, military or veteran status, or on any other basis prohibited by applicable law.
Environmental Guidelines: Liberty Power’s suppliers shall comply with all applicable legal requirements, as well as with any existing industry standards, agreements, and guidelines regarding the environment and sustainability.
Liberty Power offers various wellness programs to our employees through our health care providers, and has taken additional steps to promote wellness, such as, implementing complete ergonomic workstations, free back and neck massages, and yoga classes.
Liberty Power takes our impact on the environment and natural resources seriously. Constructive efforts are being made to reduce our business carbon footprint. For energy efficiency, we are in the process of replacing our lights with energy efficient lighting. Additionally, we have installed sensors to automatically turn off lights when not being used. Everyone is asked to turn off their computers and monitors when they leave for the day.
Liberty Power is moving toward a paperless environment by using shared hard drives to save and share documents. If a document must be printed or copied, we require printing on two sides.
We currently provide every team member with reusable coffee mugs. Water coolers are provided in break rooms and conference rooms, instead of bottled water. There is a company wide recycling project. Every team member has a waste bin and a recycle bin at their desk.
Liberty Power employees have the opportunity to support non-profit organizations by participating in internal and external activities, both on and off “company time.” Liberty Power currently supports Kids In Distress (KID), which is a nationally-accredited, community-supported agency based in South Florida, specializing in children and families.
