BUSINESS ANALYST (CONSULTANT)

The Information Technology team is looking for an experienced Business Analyst for a six month contract to plan and undertake a business analysis role on a wide range of projects.
Description:
* Involved in the development of new systems and functional processes, working closely with external customers, and managing projects in Information Technology.
* Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into functional and systems processes.
* Produce a number of deliverables, e.g., requirements specification, process maps, project plans, etc.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS in Technology or Business Administration and/or working towards an MBA or a MS in Information Systems. Project management and Process Improvement training desired. Must be detail oriented with good organization, verbal, people skills, service-oriented and a team player. Ability to translate business requirements to process improvements or system enhancements. In addition, the candidate must have knowledge of the following:
* Practical experience in Utilities Retail Energy industry is desired
* Minimum 5 years Business Analyst experience.
* Experience working with business customers
* End to end experience of the project life-cycle
* Ideally a track record of project delivery
* Extensive work experience using modeling or analytical tools to map processes
* Ambitious self-starter with the ability to manage a range of small projects in parallel
* Understanding of sales, quality assurance, accounting and finance, systems integration, development in a Microsoft Environment using VB.Net, ASP.Net and Web Services is desired.
* MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint. Visio or other process modeling tool experience is also required.
