SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Direct Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and managing direct mail and email campaigns to Small Businesses.
The Direct Marketing Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
* Assist in conceptualizing marketing campaigns to support business strategies in our existing SMB markets and Sales Channels.
* Initiate creative and production aspects of marketing campaigns by developing creative briefs, establishing project budgets, establishing project timelines, overseeing vendors, and negotiating fees/pricing.
* Work with local partners, sales channels as necessary to align activities.
* Forecast and analyze campaign Return-on-Investment.
* Monitor and evaluate market trends and technology enhancements in order to seize new marketing campaigns and streamline campaign processes.
* Lead cross functional teams necessary to launch successful campaigns including meetings, project management, launch, analysis and post campaign review. (Team members include: Operation, Sales Channels, IT, Pricing, Risk Controls, Finance)
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Proven success in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of direct marketing programs and campaigns.
* Solid quantitative skills to measure, track, and interpret the results of on-going and pilot (test) programs.
* Experience with internet targeted marketing a definite plus.
* Experience selecting and managing direct marketing vendors.
* Ability to manage projects from initial conceptualization to execution and completion.
* Ability to work as an independent contributor, as well as a team player, as projects demand.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrable strength and expertise in a leadership role
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
In addition, the ideal candidate will possess:
* A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in targeted/direct marketing.
* BA in business, marketing, or a related field is required. (Advanced degree is a plus).
* MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint
* MS Project
