Liberty Power is proud to provide energy solutions and savings that fuel the growth of business and the economy. We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager, Government Sales.

The Regional Sales Manager, Government Sales will be responsible for the following duties:

* Developing and implementing sales/business development strategies and programs targeted to the Federal government, Department of Defense, State and City governments. * Working with the Senior Leadership to formulate and develop sales plans, forecasts, and budgets. * Appraising and evaluating market conditions within Federal/military arena on an on going basis and initiating appropriate actions to maintain business momentum and preempt competition. * Assuring company positioning as a qualified vendor with all Government entities.
* Making Calls and visits with customers to accomplish goal of closing deals.
* Developing and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
* Providing feedback to Pricing Group with respect to customer needs, competitor price schedules, and discount rates.
* Working assigned sales territory, and achieving quotas, and goals.
* Analyzing sales statistics to formulate sales tactics and strategy to increase sales.
* Representing company at trade association meetings to acquire leads and promote Company.
* Delivering sales presentations to clients.
* Meeting with decision makers, maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
* Analyzing and controlling expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
* Preparing periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
* Monitoring and evaluating the activities and products of the competition.
* Identifying and developing strong relationships, and appropriately utilize advocates.
* Compiling and reporting significant Federal and/or Other, Government activity.
* Developing and managing tracking system for state and Federal legislation, analyzing for relevance to business & engaging Regulatory Affairs to support in developing and maintaining a favorable regulatory environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in government sales. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

* Minimum of 5 years government/agency/bureau sales exp. with prove sales track record. Washington DC "rolodex" a must.
* Thorough knowledge of various Federal purchasing vehicles (GSA, etc.) with the ability to define and implement a strategy for contract development and closure.
* Ability to work closely with executives and employees at all levels and in all areas of the government.
* Excellent understanding of federal budget legislation; federal acquisition regulation; appropriations/funding, contract language/law fundamentals.
* Excellent understanding of effective negotiation skills - focused on "closing the sale."
* Demonstrates superior team leadership - accomplishing results through collaborative efforts and teamwork with all stakeholders (in/out of house).
* Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
* Prior experience in military sales a plus.
* Have clear, logical and persuasive communication skills.
