Summary Description
The Channel Development Manager’s responsibilities are to lead, support, and manage sales channels to ensure they meet sales objectives.

The Channel Development Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
* Prospect, qualify, and close new business with sales channels (aggregates, brokers, and consultants).
* Develop new relationships and maintain strong rapport with sales channels.
* Follow up with sales channels by phone and email to find out how they are performing.
* Review/audit reports received from enrollment manager and make any necessary corrections.
* Ensure channels are following proper enrollment procedures.
* Ensure that pricing group provides pricing and savings reports in a timely manner.
* Propose changes that will increase productivity and efficiency of channels.
* Motivate sales channels to achieve higher sales performance.
* Update training materials as programs and offers change.
* Analyze closed deals to capture trends and to identify areas that need additional training or the attention of upper management.
* Train and support the sales channels on the Deal Capture application as well as identify problems and make enhancement requests.
* Manage, review, and provide feedback to channels on their performance reports (Commission Reports).
* Work with marketing to create marketing programs that generate enthusiasm in the sales channel.
* Analyze sales agent’s overall performance.
* Analyze reports prepared by Corporate Trainer, including charts and graphs, and approve their recommended action plans.
* Review history on all Channels’ performance, analyze, and provide feedback.

The ideal candidate will possess:
* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university.
* Minimum 5 years experience in sales role.
* Must have a through knowledge of Sales and Marketing operations.
* Possess successful sales and management skills.
* Demonstrate experience with developing, maintaining, and growing new and existing vendor and customer relationships.
* Positive leadership qualities and sales management ability.
* Strategic sales thinking and planning ability.
* Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint
* MS Project
