SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing routine accounting activities for the company.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following duties:
* Revenue Reporting
* Reconciles bank accounts and ensures that all cash activity has been properly recorded.
* Analyzes G/L accounts and ensures the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
* Exercises judgment in applying GAAP.
* Interfaces with billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable personnel to ensure that transactions are properly recorded.
* Prepares monthly financial statements and other reports for senior management.
* Interfaces with external auditors and supports the annual audit.
* Assists with setting up new companies in accounting system and reconciling intercompany accounts
* Assists with interfacing billing system to general ledger.
* Understands SOD and internal controls.
The ideal candidate will:
* Possess advanced analytical skills.
* Exercise judgment in applying GAAP and supporting internal controls.
* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
* Knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics accounting system and FRX report writer, or similar ERP system.
* Proficiency in Excel (intermediate level) and PowerPoint presentations.
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably Finance or Accounting; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
