SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Vice President, Marketing will provide strategic leadership for the marketing function. Plans and directs marketing of organization's products and services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for the following duties: 
* Develops and executes comprehensive strategic marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization.
* Develops and executes comprehensive customer retention strategy to support retention objectives of organization.
* Develops marketing materials, including flyers, post-cards, stationary and other promotional items.
* Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
* Oversees and directs new market launches and entries, including programs to communicate Key Account customer and Mass Market customer value propositions; securing of regulatory licenses, and utility connectivity.
* Develops and manages marketing operating budget.
* Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail and serves as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns.
* Evaluates and recommends distribution channel development and support programs.
* Develops and recommends product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
* Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
* Monitors competitive products and marketing activities.
* Oversees development and maintenance of customer database.
* Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.
* Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts, and provides feedback for future product development.
* Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.
* Oversees printing and mailing of all materials.
* Oversees web site development and maintenance. * Oversees printing and mailing of newsletters.
* Responsible for achieving strategic goals and objectives set forth for the Marketing Department.
* Researches and writes copy for corporate promotional materials.
* Prepares and presents product or service information at trade shows, displays, and exhibits.
* Oversees planning and execution of Sales and Marketing events and coordinate efforts with Regulatory/Governmental Affairs and Public Relations events.
* Assists and coaches company staff with speaking engagements and presentations.
* Oversees development and execution of customer opinion surveys.
* Oversees sales channel support.Oversee Marketing Operations (utility relations, enrollments, de-enrollments).

The ideal candidate will possess:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Master’s degree (M. A.).  At least fifteen years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Energy experience is a plus

In addition, the ideal candidate will also possess the following:
* MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint
* MS Project
