If I switch to Liberty Power, do I need to inform my current utility?
No, we will take care of the notification and switching process with your current electricity provider. However, you may still want to contact your current provider to confirm that you are not currently under a contract.

Who will bill me?
Your electric bill may still come from your current utility or from Liberty Power, depending upon your service area. In either case, the low Liberty Power charges for your electricity supply will be clearly listed and easy to understand.

How long does it take before I start saving?
Your savings occurs throughout the term of your contract.

When will I receive my first bill for electricity from Liberty Power?
Within 30 to 60 days from the start of your service with Liberty Power.

What are my payment options?
You may pay by check or with a check by phone. Additional convenient payment options including credit card and automated checking account withdrawal can be arranged by calling a Customer Care Representative toll free at 1-866-POWER-99 (1-866-769-3799).

Who do I call if the power lines are damaged or the power goes out?
You will need to contact your main utility. Phone numbers for which utility to call when your power goes out are on every bill you receive from Liberty Power.

Will service reliability change?
No. The delivery of energy is still regulated so the wires are well maintained. This will guarantee that you will obtain power with the equivalent service reliability you have always known.

Who will read my meter if I purchase from Liberty Power?
The utility company still reads your meter. The utility informs Liberty Power of your actual meter readings, which we use for billing.

Can I cancel anytime?
Similar to a cellular phone contract, you can cancel anytime, but, depending upon your program type and duration, you may be required to pay a cancellation fee. This will be detailed in the terms and conditions associated with your specific plan.

Will I receive two bills now since I joined Liberty Power?
For the most part, you will still receive one bill from your utility. However, depending upon your location, you may receive a dual bill. One bill will contain your delivery charges from the uility and the other will have a detailed assessment of your supply charges from Liberty Power.
