Diversity makes an organization strong.
Just like a natural ecosystem, diversity boosts productivity and ensures sustainable growth.
We believe in integrating unique perspectives to create innovative solutions.
We work diligently to incorporate diversity into all business practices.
Since our founding, we have expanded into every active, deregulated electricity market in the United States. Our service ranges from the smallest residential customer to some of the largest C&I companies in North America. As the only minority-owned independent electricity supplier in the country, we are in a unique position to help our customers meet their diversity spending objectives.
Our workforce, including the Senior Leadership Team, is diverse, which gives us a wealth of perspectives, fosters humility and open-mindedness, and stimulates innovation. We embrace an environment that supports equal employment opportunity by attracting and retaining a diverse workforce. We foster mutual respect by understanding our similarities and celebrating differences.
As a Certified Minority-Owned Business, Liberty Power has long standing relationships with the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council (NMSDC) and the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC). Our Supplier Diversity Initiative reached nearly $5 million in 2014 and is dedicated to building relationships with other certified minority-, woman- and veteran-owned suppliers and vendors. We believe supplier diversity relationships benefit both parties.
Through the Bright Horizons Scholarship, and in partnership with United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation, we have committed $100,000 to undergraduate and graduate students engaging in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.
Liberty Power is an active member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), which brings together Fortune 500 companies and other large employers with a robust network of minority and women-owned businesses. Liberty Power has been a leading voice in promoting the bottom-line benefits of a diversified supply chain.
Liberty Power’s Supplier Diversity Initiative reached nearly $5 million in 2014 and targets minority-, woman- and veteran owned suppliers and vendors. The Initiative’s mission is to include diverse suppliers in Liberty Power business opportunities, both by growing our relationships with existing diverse suppliers and by actively recruiting qualified diverse suppliers to meet our current and future business needs.
