Liberty Power Ranks Second on J.D. Power Retail Electric Provider Residential Customer Satisfaction Study
Liberty Power recognized in Illinois for its overall residential customer satisfaction
Ft. Lauderdale – August 13, 2015 – Liberty Power, the nation’s largest independent retail electricity supplier, announced today it holds the number two position in overall residential customer satisfaction in the state of Illinois, according to the J.D. Power 2015 Retail Electric Provider Residential Customer Satisfaction StudySM. Based on a 1,000-point scale, Liberty Power received an index score of 718 as well as the highest Power Circle Rating.
This annual study assesses the satisfaction amid residential customers’ retail electric providers in nine states. The five key factors that are surveyed include price, communications, corporate citizenship, enrollment/renewal, and customer service.
Liberty Power continues to remain focused on delivering exceptional customer service through operational excellence. In 2015, 99.9% of customer bills were accurate and 98.1% of all customer accounts were enrolled on time. Its customer care representatives have an average of 11.8 years of customer care experience, and so far this year, 89.3% of customer issues were resolved on the first call.

With the exception of Texas1 , the satisfaction rating in the seven other states is 632. This is a six-point increase from last year’s study. Notably, Liberty Power’s overall satisfaction rating was 86 points higher than the average. The states included in the study are Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Maryland was not ranked this year due to an insufficient sample size.
This year’s Retail Electric Provider Residential Customer Satisfaction Study is based on online interviews from more than 21,000 residential retail energy customers of the 86 ranked electric retail providers in nine states regarding their experiences with their provider. Interviews took place between August 2014 and June 2015. Due to sample size, Liberty Power was not ranked in the other states.
