Liberty Power’s Growth Continues During Turbulent Economic Times
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – June 30, 2008 – Liberty Power, one of the fastest growing, independent retail electric providers in the United States, today announced the company has been ranked 32nd overall on the 2008 Hispanic Business 500 list (HB 500). The HB 500 is compiled annually by Hispanic Business magazine and ranks, by revenue, the 500 largest Hispanic–owned companies in the United States. The rankings were officially released in the June 2008 issue of Hispanic Business magazine.
Previously ranked 63rd on last year´s list, Liberty Power jumped 31 spots, more than any other company listed among the top 50. Liberty Power, which was named the fastest–growing Hispanic–owned business in 2007 by Hispanic Business, continues to demonstrate solid growth, increasing revenues by more than 60% from the previous reporting year.
The rankings are further segmented by state and by eight sector categories: Automotive, Finance, Manufacturing, Service, Transportation, Construction, Wholesale, and Retail. Categorized as a retailer, Liberty Power is ranked third among all Hispanic–owned retailers in the United States and is ranked 12th among all Hispanic–owned businesses headquartered in Florida.
“Liberty Power is honored to be recognized as the 32nd largest Hispanic–owned company among all industries, and the third largest Hispanic–owned retailer on this distinguished list. We appreciate the trust that more and more customers place in us every day and view our growth as a result of that trust,” said David Hernandez, CEO of Liberty Power.
This honor provides yet another example of how Liberty Power´s growth and increased revenue continue to be recognized by various media outlets. In addition to the HB 500 ranking, Liberty Power was recently ranked 135th among Florida Trend´s 2008 Florida Top Private Companies, up from the previous year´s ranking of 179th. Additionally, the South Florida Business Journal recently ranked Liberty Power 59th on its 2008 list of South Florida´s Top Private Companies, a significant jump from last year´s ranking of 90th. Both Florida Trend and South Florida Business Journal compile their rankings according to the previous year´s revenue.
